1978 Like many other fishing, processing and seafood companies mushrooming up during the late ‘60 and early’70 in the state of Sarawak, Sea Horse Corporation Sdn. Bhd. joined the race in late ’70. with its inception in 1978, the Corporation first started processing prawns for export.
1980 Under the Holding Company of Sea Horse Corporation Sdn. Bhd., another Subsidiary Company, Taito (Sarawak) Co. Sdn. Bhd. was established to process dried salted jelly fish for export.
1981 It took over the SEDC Subsidiary Company of industri Cold Storage Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. to produce ice for fishing boats from First and Second Division of Sarawak.
1989 The Corporation began its diversification programmes by forming an Associated Company, Sannap (Sarawak) Co. Sdn. Bhd. to manufacture sanitary towels, toilet papers and tissue papers for local markets.
1992 A Joint-Venture Company between Sea Horse Corporation Sdn. Bhd and Korea, the Ta Hsin Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. was formed to process hitherto low value and trash fish into surimi ‘minced fish meat’ for export to Korea as well as the local fish ball market.
